Description

This vegetarian recipe is a very delicious and nutritious side dish and especially great for a Thanksgiving dinner.

  1. Preparation

    • Trim off the ends of the green beans and wash them well. Set aside.

    • Put olive oil in a pan, saute with onions, salt and sugar over medium heat, until the onions turn pink.

    • Add diced tomatoes, stirring occasionally.

    • Add green beans and 2 cups of boiling water.

    • Close the lid and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.

    • Remove from the heat, let it cool down to room temperature.

    • Garnish with parsley and almonds.
